All drum valves are in the off position before we start instructions on how to pull material from a drum.(off position is always facing away from pipe)
Attach hose onto end of main exit pipe,(make sure ears are open on coupler). After pushing firmly in place pull ears towards you to lock hose in place.
Make sure valve next to tank is in the off position as seen here. Now open main exit valve to allow material to flow into plumbing.
Next make sure that recycle valve is "open" by pushing up,(parallel with pipe) this allows the material to enter the tank. This valve should always be closed when spraying, but for pulling material we need to keep it open.

Open the main pump valve as pictured to be parallel with hose. This main valve should be turned off (or facing up) when you are not pumping any sealer.
Finally, Walk to front of tank & open air tank valve to allow pressurization.
Provided the hose is inside a drum filled with sealer you should see the material flowing into your sealcoating spray rig. Do not let end of suction hose touch bottom of container , as sealer cannot be obstructed on the way into the hose.
Make sure when finished that you turn the pump valve off. As always when not pumping sealer, this valve should be left off (facing up). The off position prevents any pressure from being built up when not in use. It is O.K to leave the valve on inbetween starts & stops while spraying. The pump stops on it's own when the proper pressure has been reached & hoses are pressurized.
